Letter to our donors

Dear All,

After months of planning and fund raising, Ek Pahila Foundation has finally started the construction work for the retention/support wall for the school and is scheduled to be completed in approximately two weeks. We are very eager to complete this project before the onset of the monsoon rain. We are certain that this wall will help prevent the school building, bathroom and the water tap from further damage as a result of flooding, landslide and mudslides that this region is very prone to.  Our blog will be updated with the pictures once the entire structure is complete.

This month’s newsletter will feature the projects that Ek Pahila Foundation began as of January 2012 and those are still on going. Please take some time to go through this newsletter, since all of the work that has been accomplished is a result of your generous contribution and support.

The building of the retention/support wall will be Ek Pahila Foundation’s last project at Devisthan Primary School. After more than one year of our work and implementation of several projects for the school, we are confident that the school community can finally sustain itself and progress ahead for a better future. However, we will continue to monitor the adult literacy program, which will end in August, and also visit the school on a bi-monthly basis to ensure the continuity of the agricultural income-generation program.

Now, Ek Pahila Foundation will start a new chapter in a different village with a school that urgently need our help. We request each one of you to stay tuned in with our blog as we research, explore and update you about our new project.

But before we move any further, I on behalf of Ek Pahila Foundation would like to sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for  your relentless support, generous contributions and your belief that together we can make a positive difference and yes we have definitely made this difference. Therefore, I would like request each one you to kindly read through our blog, look back at the work we have done and I promise you that you will feel a sense of peace and gratification amongst yourselves.

As we grow, your support will be even more more vital for us.
